SWITZERLAND SAIL GP TEAM ANNOUNCES NATHAN OUTTERIDGE AS DRIVER FOR THE REMAINDER OF SEASON 4 REPLACING SEBASTIEN SCHNEITER
On March 18th 2024 the SWITZERLAND SAIL GP TEAM announced that Driver Sébastien Schneiter will step down for the remainder of Season 4 to focus on this 2024 Paris Olympic Campaign and be replaced by 2-Time SailGP Runner Up Nathan Outteridge.

# 1 The EMIRATES GREAT BRITAIN SAILGP TEAM was penalised eight Event Points after making contact with the SPAIN SAIL GP TEAM during Practice Racing on Friday.
# 2 Day 1 of the New Zealand Sail Grand Prix Christchurch presented by ITM was cancelled because of Hector Dophins spotted within the Race Course Boundary (See SailGP Statement above).
# 3 The AUSTRALIA SAILGP TEAM was penalised twvelve Event Points for hitting a Race Course Mark during Fleet Race 1 subsequently damaging the boat and were unable to start Fleet Races 2 & 3.
#4 The ROCKWOOL DENMARK SAIL GP TEAM was penalised eight Event Points for making contact with the CANADA SAIL GP TEAM during Fleet Race 1.
UPDATED RACE FORMAT FOR SAIL GP SEASON 4
Each Grand Prix consists of 5-6 Fleet Races and 1 Podium Race. The Winner of each Fleet Race gets 10 Points, 2nd 9 Points, 3rd 8 Points, 4th 7 Points, 5th 6 Points, 6th 5 Points, 7th 4 Points, 8th 3 Points, 9th 2 Points and 10th 1 Point. The 3 Teams with the most Points after the 6 Fleet Races face each other in a Podium Race to determine the Winner of the Individual Event.
The Top 3 Teams with the most Points from all Events at the end of the Season go Head-to-Head in a Race called "THE GRAND FINAL" for 2 Milllion $ Prize Money.
